A Quiet Pretty Morning

 It snowed last night.

And it was cold.

So I waited until sunrise to head out for my morning walk.

And found this

And turning around, I found

Time for a snap quiz. Which of those two photos is looking northward?

Well, now that I've annoyed most of my readers, I'll look around some more

And another crow

And the neighbor's horses

Yes, those are a couple of miniature horses standing in front of the regular sized horses.

Good eyes.

It was very quiet this morning. So I was very surprised when I turned and found these footprints following me

I turned back and found these coyote tracks coming at me!

But, thank god, a cowboy came to my rescue

and chased off the coyote.

So far we have gazed south and north. And first flying crow was to the east.

And now ... especially for you, the symmetry obsessed ... we gaze west, where the sun is already warming the Tusas mountains in the distance and yet is rudely leaving us still unlit. Unlit and quiet.

And chilly, as you can tell from this magpie and crow

I was chilly and the even the camera started to complain. Turning a last time, returning and nearing home, I see the warming sun has erased the morning clouds over the mountains, giving me one final slightly new view to present

And when I got home, I found Cyndi shoveling the driveway

Cyndi says this proves she was working while I was out playing.

Actually, it only proves she posed for two pictures.
